I AM OFFICIALLY NUTS....

A good stitching friend of mine posted a challenge for 2011. What possessed me to join I have no clue. While rifling through my stash deciding what to stitch, I realized something. I have to finish a little over a project a month in order to meet this challenge!! Well, I'm not sure if I'll finish all the projects...I am definitely going to try though.

The challenge...start 15 new projects on the first 15 days of the New Year. You then have the entire year to finish them. Sounded reasonable enough when I first joined. Then I looked at the projects I've chosen...and well...let's just say it's quite possible that I was a little overly ambitious!!

Anyway, following is a list of my chosen projects...progress pics will be posted here as often as I possibly can. I have an album on Facebook for each project (they're all in one album until they are started) as well.

1. Santa's & Mrs. Claus' Wardrobe by Sue Hillis Designs (to be stitched together)

2. Believe by Waxing Moon Designs

3. Welcome To Our Patch, Wipe Your Feet, Eat-Drink, and Be Scary, and Sit For A Spell from the Haunted Tricks & Treats leaflet by Stoney Creek

4. Warm Winter Wishes by Waxing Moon Designs

5. A Year With Charm Flip-Its by Lizzie Kate (all 12 in one project)

6. February, October, November, December from the North Pole Pals leaflet by Stoney Creek

7. A Fireman's Prayer by Aggie "J" Originals

8. Wolf, Fox, Grizzly Bear, Brown Bear from the Animal Magnetism I & II leaflets by Cross My Heart, Inc. (all stitched in one project)

9. Believe Tree by M Designs

10. Operation Teddy Bear charity quilt labels (6 of them)

11. Celtic Autumn by Lavender & Lace

12. Ooh by Purple Heart Designs

13. No Smoking from the Spellbound leaflet by Jeannette Crews Designs

14. Knotwork Bookmarks I by TW Designs

15. Your Slip Is Showing by Stoney Creek

The more I look at this list...I know there's no way I'll ever finish all 15 of these projects. I have until December 31, 2010 to adjust it I believe. I'm definitely going to have to rethink this. I have the patterns all scanned ready to print my one working copy. I have the floss all pulled. I still have to order the specialty fibers, buttons, etc. I have all of my fabric out and ready for the floss toss part of the planning period. I'm thinking I better scale down my list though. Once I fail to meet a deadline, I know I'll give up...and not just on the challenge but on stitching all together, at least for awhile. I don't want that to happen. I guess later today (after running some errands) I'll sit down and rethink my list and edit this post to reflect any changes I've decided on! Any suggestions/hints/comments are more than welcome! Thanks in advance everyone!
